Summary: Luna discusses global warming with Severus.

Severus frowned at the section of Luna's article that he could see.

"What does that mean - global warming?"

"My father feels the Muggles are referring to a Magical phenomenon. It's a build up of dark magic toxins in the air and earth and water. Since they're unbalanced, the world tries to harmonize them by heating, to mimic the missing element of fire. That is why the temperatures have been rising around the world."

He found her soft Irish lilt soothing, even when it spoke what he felt was nonsense.

"So what can be done?"

"The Muggles believe they have to stop using those motomobiles and building factories that pollute the air. There were also, purportedly, some studies about cow farts, but I'm not certain if that wasn't hyperbole."

"Can the Wizarding World do anything?"

His wife considered this, giving him a sidelong look where he lay contemplating her pert nudity, as she sat, making notes for an upcoming article.

"I agree with my father," she said, dipping her quill, as she continued to jot down notes. "I think wizards need to create natural heat of their own to harmonize the toxins and make them dissipate instead of grow."

"Natural heat?" His voice quavered as he watched her touch the quill tip to her tongue.

"Yes. Summoning fire, feeding a dragon, even just eating Pepper Imps. The more wizards do things to create heat, the better." She paused, chewing on her bottom lip as she re-read her article thus far.

Severus could take no more. He used his wand and carefully levitated her quill, ink, paper and the book she had been using as an improvised desk to the night side table. Then he set it aside and reached for her, even as she smiled knowingly and went to him.

"Vixen," he murmured as he held her close. The scent of her, the clean, soft, powdery scent of her, combined with her own natural womanly smell made him giddy.

He gently laid her back, even as she smiled up at him and stroked her hand along his cheek.

"I think, perhaps, you and I should create some heat of our own, then. Don't you agree?"

Her answer, indeed, her continual refrain for the next several moments consisted only of "Yes, Severus. Oh, yes!"
