The Tearless Shall Cry
by "Dorian Gray"

I knew a woman long ago,
Who told me of a desert, covered in snow.
She spoke of a lady, with hair of bloodfire,
The quintessence of my heart's desire.

I'd meet her, this angel, in a place of great pain.
And she would teach me to live again.
But only in a world, of burning snow,
Could love between us flourish and grow.

My face to you is ugly, unformed,
Between life, and love, and duty I'm torn.
I long to be beautiful, as you are to me,
Please, with your eyes, allow me to see.

My worship from a distance, has gone on too long.
The mask is too heavy, my love; too strong.
Can I leave it behind me, to face the world anew?
How? Everywhere I turn, there's you.

In the heart of the hurricane, we are the eye.
There's no time left for a moan or a sigh.
But remember Kira, when all this is passed,
My love will continue to last.

We both know, dear Kira, my life goes beyond yours,
But when you surrender, I'll shut all my doors.
Though I'll still be breathing, I'll allready have died.
At your passing, the tearless shall cry.
